Any ideas why a car won't start with a new battery.

Car is fine in day to day use, but if it sits for three days it will not start. Last Battery, about 31/2 years old was replaced by the dealer several weeks ago. Car is in heated garage, alternator seems to have the correct output for charging. I thought that I would disconnect the battery for the next time its not used for an extended period of time, if it then starts OK when re-connected, how do you find the problem? Any help appreciated

if that's the issue. Could be you got a bad (new) battery though if that's what's happening. Dealer or you will have to track circuit by circuit to find the culprit....Sounds like dealer time again...

for six months now. Had hoped it was a battery issue. The good news is that I live on a hill, The bad news is I'm getting to old to be pushing cars down my driveway. I agree that it sounds like a dealer issue to resolve.
