Default Any P-car wiz kids?

My mom's check engine light kicked on in her 03 911 cab. She took it in and they said there was an issue with the driver seatbelt. I know this can be the problem as I've had it happen to my TT when installing a 4pt harness. My real question is if anyone knows the warranty for the restraint system for p-cars. She has 42k on the odo and its an 03. In my experiances, the restraint warranty is normally one of the longest on a car. Thanks for the help.

Default I think this was a common problem...>

With the seatbelt wiring harness on some cars. As I recall, there was a harness replacement fix for this. I would expect it would be warranty as this is a critical safetly system.. Dealer should know..

Default As I said...Check with your dealer..>>

Since this was a know fault involving a safety system, there may be a TSB (technical service bulletin) or other internal document autorizing warranty fix even after the expiration of the standard warranty.

Default There is a TSB for the front seats on 2003 Carrera's>>>

i would pull the TSB and see if that helps with the resolving the issue too...it is item 10006702....

The TT is a vastly different...not sure why you would get a CEL on a 4pt harness unless you disconnected the sensor in the seat and forgot to reconnect it, or did not bypass the signal....

Either way....i would start with a TSB....puts the ownership on Porsche...
