I have the OEM cover. It wears fine, but the TT logo started flaking off almost immediately . . .

Default Mine sucks... morning fog/dew penetrates the fabric and makes a mess on the car....

not sure if that is because I washed mine.....

Default I purchased a Wolf cover from Costco and if fits my TT Coupe ... the fabric is pretty good ...

I believe it's a Kimberly-Clark water resitant fabric and water doesn't penetrate unless its raining really hard. I believe it was only $45.

Default what I'd like to know about car covers but never seems to come up....

What do you do with a wet car cover? I wouldn't want to put it in the trunk....
How do you get bird sh*t off a car cover?
What amount of upkeep is required?
Can you put one on the car when the cover itself is wet?

Doesnt' the inconvenience outweigh the benefits?

Suppose there was sand or pollen (we have big pollen here in NC) or twigs inside the cover and it scratched the car?

1. What do you do with a wet car cover? I wouldn't want to put it in the trunk....

I fold it up in on itself after shaking most of the water off. As soon as I get home, it comes out of the trunk and gets put in the dryer on 'fluff'

2. How do you get bird sh*t off a car cover?

Follow the instructions for washing. The Audi cover is machine washable.

3. What amount of upkeep is required?

Periodic washing when it's dirty.

4. Can you put one on the car when the cover itself is wet?

No

5. Doesnt' the inconvenience outweigh the benefits?

Not for me. My car sits outside all day long.

6. Suppose there was sand or pollen (we have big pollen here in NC) or twigs inside the cover
and it scratched the car?

Don't do that. If the car is dirty do not put the cover on.
