Any resistance from Carlsen servicing TT bought elsewhere?
After I get my TT, I'm hoping to have it serviced at Carlsen (Palo Alto) or Anderson-B (San Jose). But, I have this notion that dealers, in general, don't like doing warranty service on cars bought elsewhere (based on the premise of getting fixed fees from the manufacturer for the given maintenance).
With so many folks going out of their way to buy long distances from home, I gotta figure this issue has come up with TT buyers. Anybody had any good or bad experience to share here, particularly with regard to Carlsen?

I go my TT from Carlsen and I service at Rector - driving distance reasons, Rector closer to home. They're all Audi dealers and they'll service the car no matter what. You just need to show to them your service booklet with your VIN so as to log you into their service computer.
Corto

Re: Any resistance from Carlsen servicing TT bought elsewhere?
Thanks. I realize that I should be able to get serviced anywhere, but, the difference between one service manager and another can be quite different. Some can be quite helpful. Others can be a pain in the butt. And I figured that the service department at the dealership you buy the car from is more likely to give you better treatment because they know they've already made a profit from your purchase.
It's my understanding that warranty service is reimbursed to the service department by Audi, and that those rates are fixed, and thus, leaving not much wiggle room for revenue in the service department.

I bought at Diablo...use to service at Carlsen...now at Anderson-Biehl
To answer your question....dealers don't care...they get paid regardless. Now, if you want some assistance from your Audi Brand Specialist for something that is happening with the service dept...and you bought at another dealer...then your ABS cannot do much for you.
I think you will be fine...btw, I recommend Anderson-Behl over Carlsen...and I have been to both...several times with both my A4 and S4.
