Default April 8+9, right?

That's far enough away to not count me out just yet. Geez I'd love to do that. How about you? Are you going?

Default Probably won't make that one....(more)

...but I certainly would LOVE to participate somewhere along the way.

A LONG time ago (late-70's) I got to ride with my "ex" as he drove his '66 Vette around the TWS banked oval. AMAZING experience!

TWS used to be a really nice course...I just hope it has been maintained properly over the years. Do they use the road course for the driving schools or only the oval, do you know?

Default Thanks, Jeff! (more)

Brings back a LOT of memories...I used to do flagging/communications for SCCA races on that road course back in the 70's. Sadly, I "lost custody" of all the SCCA activities when I got a divorce.

It certainly used to be a beautiful course! Would be GREAT fun to drive in my TT...

Default Question: how bad is the wear & tear on your car at one of these ?

I would assume you at least loose several thousand miles of equivalent tire wear. I'd also guess you would blow though brake pads pretty quickly. I read though the PAS web page - and it sounds like huge fun, and valuable info. But I'm not sure I want to "age" my car 20K miles in one weekend. Any comments from past participants ?

Default What I was told .....

Since you decide how hard you want to drive your car, you can determine the wear. I agree that there will be more than normal wear, but what you learn will help you drive better and safer. I think that replacing pads/tires is cheaper than fixing a wrecked TT. Just a thought.

I hope to see some more TT's at the track. I have already signed up. If you show up, look for TT #74....that's me!!

Regards,
Ryan E.
