Default Define "minimize spending". Many of these "improvements" have downsides on the street.

SSL - would changing these make any difference (or over-kill)? Overkill. The stock lines are plastic lined to reduce expansion. If you haven't cracked them, leave them alone.

Brake Fluid - ? [motul] There are cheaper DOT4 options. Like ATE.

Caliper Stiffening Kit - ? [tyrolsport stiffening kit] If you are not experiencing uneven pad wear, then skip. These require periodic lubrication. I have them, and like them, but you don't need them.

Slotted Rotors - ? [ecs zinc plated] These will reduce your pad life without improving your street performance. Get plain rotors.

Pads - [ferodo ds2500 instead of OEM] Sure, fine, whatever.

Just LOL at using left over, used pads. In a good way. Srsly. It's refreshing.

Default Segue..> Would a brake fluid flush enhance my brake pedal feel if mine has felt

soft and relatively unresponsive since my last flush? I have Hawk HPS on ECS X-drilled/slotted.

Default Most likely you still have some air in the lines.....A good flush will fix that..>

Good idea to bleed each caliper 2 times or more to get every last bit of air out.

Go around the car once, then make the rounds again..

Default thanks for the post.... I guess I should go with the ATE Typ 200 ... also ...

which mods are not as beneficial on street?

assuming I leave the brake lines stock, and plain rotors, no stiffening kit, but I change the pads to ferodos....

will the ferodo pads last as long as oem? [I'm assuming around 40k?]

will changing just the brake fluid at that point make a difference?

thanks

Default Fluid should be flushed at least every 2 years. I haven't used the Ferodos.

They seem reasonably popular.

The 2500's are very good, but dusty...Had em on my Wilwood set-up.
