Default And I thought I was old....

I used to be able to get the wife to help me do the old "in...out" brake bleeding routine, but not now even when it's her car. Now I use a vacuum bleeder and I tell her when I'm done. It reminds me of something else, but we won't go into that.

Yeah, certain things drop from wife's repertoire as the marriage matures

Default I ordered the Motiv from a local supplier a liitle south of me

Ordered on Monday and get an email Thursday saying not in stock and their supplier did not deliver in time to have it delivered to me by Friday. This is after I stayed on top of the order with three emails asking them to make sure they get it to me Friday for me to use on Saturday. I canceled the order. I was hoping Just in Time would work here...they're prob still pissed I didn't buy the brake kit from them....and I was going to order more stuff from them like spacers, tune up stuff, and possibly the blue haldex...heck, I might even be a fleet manager and get a whole lot of cars to them...

Default I always gravity bleed dry and never had a problem. Pumping the pedal causes the MC seals to abrade-

against the unworn portion of the MC bore. Basicly it moves them through a range not worn in and wears them down. Trust a Junkie. Drain it dry and refill just like any other fluid.

Default It worked, but you're not suprised

installed bleed plastic hose on each bleed screw, opened MC, opened one of the bleed screws, wait 1 minute and she started to drain. Repeat other side and both calipers are primed.
