Just tried it tonight. Once you take out the
insert, the iPod fits almost perfectly. Very
tempting place to mount, given the fit. Although
it fits so snugly, getting the cables to it might
be difficult. I'm thinking they could be snaked up
in there and a few holes drilled in the side wall
of the ash tray compartment to slide into the iPod.
Not sure about that, though.

Anyone try it or have some thoughts?
