Default Anyone had problems lining up the tubing on Tcarbon FMIC? Did you have to cut? Pics attached.

I can't seem to get the tubing lined up properly. When I put up two hoses against each other, there is an angled gap between them, take a look at the pics (cellphone). Even if I was to cut the hose, the cut would have to be angled in order to properly line up the hoses together. Any suggestions? I managed to connect therm originally but I think that it pinched the SFS hose in the process but pushing it too close to the engine and it took lots of sweat and tears to get them connected to each other. It shouldn't be this complicated (I think).

Default

Someone had some install notes that said they had to make an angled cut.

Default I looked at his install and it doesn't seem like he had to cut anything, but then he already had

the SPS hoses installed with SMICs so maybe he modified the hose during that install. I just hate cutting up good parts :-)

Default the thought did cross my mind and I tried it every which way I could. This is the closest I could

get them to line up. I found this post which states that he had to cut the hose but it doesn't say where and what was cut. I'll compare my install to his notes but it looks like cutting might be required.

Another install.

Default I didn't have any problems with mine. I trimmed the Samco upper IC hoses to fit the stock ICs first.

The TCarbon FMIC hoses fit on with no trimming.

Default I had that same problem. Disconnect the upper hose from the charge pipe. Then attach the

two hoses using the supplied splice pipe. Use T bolt pipe bands and make them TIGHT or you will be doing this again. Now connect the top hose to the charge pipe. I trimmed about a half inch to improve the fit. There is enough flex along the two hoses that everything will line up OK.

Default Yeah, I think I'll bolt up my smic first and make sure that the SFS hose lines up.

If id does, then I'll cut the FMIC hose and if it doesn't then SFS gets trimmed.
