Default Beltronics RX75 fully integrated unit. No wires and nothing on the windshield.

That is the only way to go in my opinion.

Default Ok - thanks - i'm thinking of doing something similar....

but was also wondering if I could integrate it somehome into the dash - like in the plastic plate where the headlight switch is.

Default Hard-wire a Radar Detector the easy way

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/46648/cimg1617.jpg"></center><p>Instead of fishing wires up through the piller, you can also just splice into the Home Link. Be careful because one of the "hot" wires" is always on and one is on when the key is on. If you use the "key on" one you can just always leave the detector turned on.

Here is a photo of the wires I spliced into. After this you just slide the wire out from the Headliner and your ready to go.

This is fine if you don't use the smart cord - and homelink wasn't available on early TT's

I pulled the upper windshield cover and use a coat hanger down the pillar.
