Default tom -- if you want to keep the rear seats (i have an 8-year old reason to do so...

i know you don't), you could mount the amp on one of the rear seat backs -- that works well for me.

Default I have no reason to keep them beyond security of what is in my trunk..

People are rarely sit back there, and I would LOVE to be able to have some slick amp/sub setup. The problem I am going to run into is that I live in an apartment building and do not have a ton of space/tools to build the box... That being said I do have a co-worker that knows his stuff when it comes to that type of work.

Otherwise I will just make up a smaller box that sits in the trunk that might go front to back on one side. That will give me a little space on that side, and then a normal half of trunk on the other. Decisions decisions :-)

Default I had a question for you about this...

How did you mount the basslink like that? Also is it only the front that bass comes out of? What materials did you use to make it- construction as well as covering? Did you do it yourself?

Default answers..

Basslink is mounted flat with some space below for tghe radient bass.

Sound comes out of both grills

fiberboard and leather-like material. It was made to my specs by a stero shop and I had a custom seat guy do the half seat and cover the enclosure.

Default Here is my rear seat storage box . . .

<img src="http://images.fotki.com/v2/free/97aa/2/23131/83519/P0003180-vi.jpg?1012009255">

You can see the construction pics <a href="http://public.fotki.com/larrytt/audi_tt_mods/tt_storage/">here</a>

You could easily do something like this and mount the amp into the storage box instead of making it for only storage.

Default Re: now that is one big subwoofer! nice amps...

Yeah, I had a single 10 in my previous car, and it just wasnt hitting me enough, the system is speced out for SQ but I did hit 140 db once though with out turning up the gains .

The JL is nice, it powers the subs, I think I might seel it though Mcintosh has a mono 600 W amp out now.
