i have 15mm spacers in the rear, and i'm sure i could have run them up front with my 38ET wheels without a problem.
but then i'd want them to be spaced out a bit more in the rear, so... umm...
why would you want to?

I just don't really like the idea of running spacers with longer bolts- like the idea of the 25mm spacers, run them in the front and back, so it would LOOK like I was running 15mm over my stock look now. See what I mean? I am going to use the Superleggras as my winters.
This is for a set of Falken Circuit Specs.. they make 2 diffrent sizes- 19x7.5(42mm offset) and 19x8(45mm offset). I was going to run the 19x8's front and back.
With a 45mm offset I don't think they will clear my brakes or look right. So I was looking to push them out. I could put 25 spacers on the back and 15 on the front (pretty close to stock front, and 13mm spaced out in the back).
See what I am trying to do?

btw, the 15mm require the long bolts, whereas the 25mm retain the stock ones. but i think that's what you already said.
now you have me especially confused. =S

If the new wheels have a 45mm offset, and the stock wheels are around 32-35mm, I would need between 10-13mm to bring the new wheels to the stock offset- ie the OEM no spaced look. So I would have to get 10mm spacers just to make it look stock...
NOW if i used 25mm spacers that would give me the look of stock wheels AND 10-15mm spacers. BUT I would have the new wheels and 25mm spacers on. Kinda understand now- I know it is hard to explain.
If I ran 25mm spacers on the front AND back with the new wheels it would look like the OEM wheels with 10-15mm spaces (since the offset on the new wheels is 10mm-13mm: depending on the width of the wheel I get)

Probibly mount some nice summer rubber on my SL's and take off the spacers. Just wondering your thoughts.

and in theory, the strength of the wheel should relieve the pressure from the lug bolts.
i didn't have spacers when i was auto-x'ing the car, so i can't provide any real world feedback there. sorry.
