Default I dunno John... Forge sells an adjustable waste gate for

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/34314/vag_k04.jpg"></center><p>
the "VAG K04 transverse 1.8t" on their TT page, so I assume it's a "field replacable unit"...

it sure couldn't hurt to replace the hose. Remember though, it's an oddball... a tiny inside diameter on the turbo end, with a larger ID on the N75 end

I built a coupler, with hardware store brass hose barbs in the two diameters, screwed together... then used larger silicone hose from the N75 to the coupler... and smaller from the coupler to the waste gate. It's been bullet proof since

Default I would definitely replace the hose....>

High spikes generally indicate a busted or leaking hose since the N75 defaults to Limp (5psi) when de-activated...

Default by the way, having two cars at your disposal and swapping parts

as a diagnostic technique...

really pisses off the rest of us dumb fokkers...

who have to BUY all this sh*t just to find out...

which part's at fault ;-)

Default Well, it's not quite as good as you'd think

Having two mostly identical cars with incompatible AMU and BEA parts is a bit maddening at times

But yes, Danielle says it's awfully nice to have a parts car in the garage
