I'm curious about this option, I've always wanted a vehicle with a GPS mapping system. My 225TTQR (not here yet ... 2 weeks!!) doesn't have this option.

I put an aftermarket Magelan system in. It's great. You can try one by renting a car with Hertz. Ask for a neverlost system.<p>Eric

and I love it. I don't use it all that often, because I travel the same route almost every day, so I know where I'm going. However, quite a few times now it has come in handy to find someone's house or place of business, and it has a VERY cool feature (little button with a picture of 3 cars on it) which is the 'traffic function'. It is used to get you out of traffic jams. I've used it on my way to work a few times already, and its wonderful. I have my work address saved as a location, so whenever I get stuck in a lot of traffic (accident on the freeway for instance), I'll start up the nav system, select my work as the destination, and then push the traffic button. You then have to tell it for how many miles the traffic will be. I always max it out (4 miles) so that it will just keep me away from the interstate. I get off at the next exit as told, and it gets me to work in a lot less time than if I had sat in the traffic.
Priceless, IMHO, for someone like me who travels a 40 mile one-way route to work.<p><A HREF="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=5281"><IMG SRC="http://ninja.endinfosys.com/images/tt_sig.jpg" BORDER=0></A>

I wondered how large the display was and how user friendly it was. Can you guys post some pictures??
I didn't order my TT with this option, do you know how difficult it is to install later?
Thanks,
Mark

1) the display is the size of your trip computer display - it uses the same space
2)I don't know - though all TTs come pre-wired so it should be (relatively) easy<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/keyfob.jpg">

Yes i use a aftermarket radio including a navi from Blaupunkt (link below).
I ordered the TTR without Radio and installed the whole radio/navi and mobile phone on my own.
But i donīt know what you have to do in u.s. when you order a car wihtout radio. In Germany you have to install a cable for switched plus (in Germany itīs called S-Kontakt, so that the radio switch off, when you pull the key) and the GALA-signal (you need it for navi - itīs the speedsignal)
