Mine is leaking a gallon a day ! Started small and now is just silly.
These bottles don't look fun to replace and I can't seem to find one other then at the dealer.
Nothing in the car has been messed with (as far as that bottle is concerned). I wonder what would cause such a failure?

The bottle wasn't too expensive as I recall. & I think you can do it by removing the fender liner.

If it's the same problem I had, it's not the bottle, it's the plastic sleeve the pump fits in at the bottom of the bottle. It cracks lengthwise so it can't hold the pump tightly, so the pump slips down and the fluid leaks out.
If you pull the driver side wheel off and pull back the wheel well liner, you can see the pump at the bottom of the tank. Some have successfully fixed it by wrapping zip-ties around the pump sleeve to pull it back together. This worked for me for a short time but it eventually leaked again. I ended up replacing the pump/sleeve.
Here's a pic:

I disconnected mine (fluid & electrical) and removed the aliens. They are nothing but a nuisance anyway and block a lot of the air passage to the SMICs.
My pump was not leaking so I left it in place, but if it were leaking, I would remove it and plug the hole.

Note that there are 2 versions of the reservoir. Each is pictured in the posts below. My 2001 had the bottle that clamps the pump in a c shaped recess in the bottom portion. Some have the bottle that uses a black tube to "connect" the pump to the reservoir. My leak was a crack in the bottle at the tab where it screws to the body. got mine done CPO but it was a bit painfull. They first wanted to sell me a new alien. (over $500.) I had to point out the leak and let them watch the water drip from the resevoir before they agreed.
