Default i suppose you can circumvent the cracking/leakage by wrapping it with a tie wrap

prior to it leaking. seems as though the constant pull of the wires below/weight caused the split in the pump casing.

Default Yup...this happened to me last summer

It was still under warranty, so the dealer replaced the bottle. They said the seam had split.

Default What caused the split in the casing...

is ****ty materials and/or design. This part should last the life of the car.
