he thinks the chip is really peaky and surges too much for his tastes. He's considering going back to stock.

problem it.

Default Alrighty, I'll let him know.

My experience with Jetta/GTI chips though is that they tend to surge compared to Audi chips.

with greedspeed as they are closest to me. Just checked out their web site.

Default Nospeed? The worst crap ever... with unencoded chips no less.. so one happy tech...

and they can flash over your chip with a stock program.
