Anyone install an FM booster to help with radio signal?

I searched and saw that HACK THS was asking about installing one back in Feb, but no updates from what I can see.
The radio is fuzzy in and out when driving. Yes, I know the radio sucks. All the other Audis I've driven sucked at FM reception too.
Anyone installed one in their TT or other vehicle? Think it would help at all?
I have a booster I got at walmart for $2 a few months ago. Couldn't hurt giving it a try. Though I'd have to figure out how to pull the headunit out. (I made Jeff Bipes's tool but there's nowhere to grab to wiggle it out on the single-CD units)

You may need to go to the dealer for this.
The OEM tool has a notch in it, that engages the 'clip' in the slot.
Then you can pull the blades, and the H/U will come out.
Go to this site to buy them
Look down the page for 'Radio'.
