Default Anyone know of a way to dye silicone hose?

I have two short blue hoses I would like to change to black. Right now I'm trying a Sharpie on it, but it doesn't stick too well. I'm guessing I'm stuck with blue.

Default I thought about that...

I will be using t-bolts, so do you think it would be safe to wrap the hose, then put the t-bolt over it? I would worry about it slipping, but it isn't a high-pressure or much of a flexible spot.

Hahaha... kinda thought of that since they'll be in the direct path of road grime. =)

won't work. You'll end up with gooey, slippery substance and dangling vinyl over time

Default So is it a vinyl tape without adhesive then that they use?

I could clearly see ridges in the finish that would be indentical to wrapping the hose with electrical tape. And it was only the outer 1/16th of an inch maybe that was black while the rest was blue or red.

I don't have them anymore so I can't look at em but I'm just kind of curious.
