Anyone know what this part does?

It's the valve under the intake area and it connects to the combi with mesh covered hose.
I'm trying to fix my secondary air issue still haven't had any luck.
-fixed pump rivets
-changed combi
-changed mesh hose from combi
I ordered an o2 sensor so thats next, not sure if it will help...
