Auto Europe. Go to their website, www.autoeurope.com, and click car rental, then sports cars.
However, I can tell you from 13 years experience in planning travel to Italy, it might be more of a headache than it's worth. Parking in all 3 cities you mentioned is difficult at best. Florence is so compact a car isn't necessary, Sorrento is tiny. The Chiantigiana road or even the Amalfi drive are usually pretty traffic-laden roads, so you might not enjoy it as much. Rome is another animal altogether, and definitely not a city you want to drive around in.

being born in Milan and haven been back last year for the 6th time I did not see any TT's. We plan on going next summer, in southern Italy and maybe we will do better and see some TT's.

Alfa has some awesome cars, some of which may be available here one day. Drive 'em where they make 'em.
But remember, driving in Europe can be a real headache. I spent over an hour driving in circles around Florence trying to get back to my hotel after dropping off my bags. Every time you get near a city, you need to park and lock because Euro cities are not designed for driving in. All this parking adds up quickly, as does gas at $4/gallon.
And as for the autostradas, they're like driving on I-95 in CT or MA. Except that there are some huge cruisers flying by at 100+ on their way back to Switzerland or Germany.
