Default Anyone replace Audi Head Unit with one that has in-dash CD?

I think (especially given that we got the Bose upgrade) it's ludicrous to have a cassette player in the head unit for the stereo. The changer is great, but it would be nice to just pop in a CD without contortions to get at the changer.Has anyone replaced their head unit with another (especially given the fact that we have the Bose upgrade, is the 'upgrade' in the head unit or elsewhere ? Thanks!

The 'upgrade' is a higher wattage Bose Power Amp, and CD Changer. Isn't the head unit Blaupunct?

The head unit is custom made by Panasonic for Audi as is the multi-CD player.

Thanks, thought it was German. Wonder why the 'Blaupunct' adapter works with it??

Default Because Blaupunkt also makes the Concert head unit as well.

Both companies make the radios. The plug is a standard Audi piece that is fitted to both radios.

If you go to the Blaupunkt website you will find the Concert headunit on their site as well as the Panasonic website. Someone posted the URL's about a year ago.

I have an Eclipse model 5303R. It's fabulous. Faceplate flips down to insert CD.
