Default Anyone running this brake kit?

** SEE LINK FOR IMAGE **

"This is the second version of the kit from RPI with the correct size rotors, so the pad sweeps the total rotor area. Only on the car for a total of 8 months. These brakes only saw daily driving and have at least 50% pad left. Rotors are straight and smooth"

It retails for $1595US, I can pick it up for $800CND. What do you think?

http://img257.imageshack.us/my.php?image=imgp1784small7of.jpg</a

Default If you are gonna track the car...i would not get them>>>

i have them and they will not be the best for track events as they heat up pretty good...for daily driving, autocross and some minor events...you will be fine.

Default I wonder how big of a difference the Thermlock pistons would make

I'm doing the ACNA track day at Summit Point and don't want to not be able to enjoy the event because of these brakes. Thinking I should just go ahead and upgrade the pistons in hopes of less brake fade.

Default They'll be fine then..>

I've had em on for a few years. Apparently prices have gone up as Han's scored a new set right from RPI a year or so ago for around $1000 on sale. I picked up a "used" but uninstalled new set for $800.....

Default i was just at summit this summer

i had stock brakes with hawk hp+'s and slotted rotors with motul 600 fluid. brakes only faded once due to someone much slower in front of me slowing way early. i was running my giac 100 oct program and passing all kinds of things under the sun. stock brakes will be fine and i even had r-compound tires too.
