yeah i know i'm crazy but i'm wincing at the idea of putting on 17 winters this year ... just look too small :-) as such i'm thinking about putting dunlop wintersport m2's on my current summer rims and then going with 19's in the spring. is anyone running those tires in 18? any feedback?
thanks!

Potholes. I bent two 18" rims on Friday. The pothole was hiding in a sheet drain puddle. I was only going about 30-35 mph when I hit the hole, but it was 1/2 way to China and I bent two rims.
Low profile and Winter tires are not practical. It doesn't even snow here, but we get plenty of potholes from the rain and potholes are death to rims with low profile tires...

i'll take my chances in that regard ...
if the hole really went "to china" as you say, it would've bent a 17" rim too. by the way, i don't regard 40-series as low profile -- i'm considering running 285/25 and 245/30 on my m3 come summer ;-)
