Default It's just a tradeoff that's all...

- Yes, I've had more repairs needed on the TT than on any other car I've owned

but,

- I've also never owned a car before that I've still been excited about driving every day after 4 years and 80K miles (I usually last 1-2 years before any car just becomes another means of getting from A-B)

On the balance of things if I were to go back in time to before I bought the TT, knowing what I know now I'd still have bought it.

As long as the good outweighs the bad, you're always ahead - savvy?

Default a few issues here and there...

but one of those things that you need to keep up with...especially if you let them stack up, you will hate the car.

i try to tackle each issue as they come along...because once you have 2-3 problems, you will not like driving the car much.
here are some of the issues i've had...
1. fuel pump/sender replaced under warranty
2. cluster replaced under warranty
3. wheel bearings replaced under warranty
4. window regulator and motor -- out of warranty
5. sway bar creak -- out of warranty (polys to be installed)
6. coolant sensor -- did myself
7. coilpack -- out of warranty
8. ECU -- out of warranty
9. timing belt -- preventative maintenance done out of warranty

pretty much sums it up. most aftermarket stuff hasn't gone bad with the exception of the KW V3s...which i blew a valve or something...but was replaced by KW warranty.

Default Mine's been fine so far (karate chopping wood)...

With all the mods I have the only problem has been a bad alternator, and that was replaced under warranty with no problems.

Default So if the ECU goes bad...

after being chipped, do you have to pay to be re-chipped?

Default Depends on the flash dealer, but they should have your VIN on file. If they do, they should reflash

you if you explain what happened.
