Default AP brakes will fit without any spacers and are at a good price.....

Doing some research and found the AP kit, currently on special at $1999 from Stillen/Brake Pros, can fit many current aftermarket wheels without spacers. It requires 1.57" behind the spokes. That works for my wheels which have 1.6" and Stoptech would have required a 15mm spacer. So good news for those on the fence regarding spacers. This kit seems very simlar to the Brembo Gran Tourismo with similar size/style rotors, similar sized pistons in the calipers but no flashy paint.

Default I know the front kits are ready. They're working on a rear kit.

I'll see if I can get more info.

Default Just doing final checking...may take a ride to Costa Mesa today!

The brakes specify 2001-2002 model year so I'm trying to see why the 2000 model is not included. Sales rep. said the kit will fit my wheels.

Default What is that measurement really mean? From the site it appears

that it is the distance between the top of the inside of the rim to the top of the caliper. I'd still be concerned about distance from the face of the caliper to the spokes. From past measurements - StopTech and AP's would have required the same (within 2mm) spacers with my wheels. Just make sure is all I am saying. That is a great deal on the AP's - excellent brakes.

Default Pad Clearance or A-dimension is the spoke to rotor hat distance......

1.57 being the amount needed for the calipers. My Fikse's for example have 1.6 inches clearance. The Brembos need 1.77+3mm. and Stoptechs 1.96+3mm. I've got a stack of templates cut out and the Brembo and AP are the slimmest profiles. Doing a lot of inch to millimeter conversions honing in on the best match. AP-no spacers, Brembo-8mm., Stoptech/993/Bira/Movit-15mm.

The pdf shows the numbers.

Quick Reply: AP brakes will fit without any spacers and are at a good price.....
