Rahul is attempting to curry favor from the P.C. "Gee, he's a class act" crowd. His apology is as false and pretentious as he is. He is a shallow and mean-spirited phony.

There was one person who he should have apologized to and that was me. However, he couldn't find it within his "magnanimous" self to do that.

I can see right through him and I hope that others are beginning to as well. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming!
