Apparently, my NM TT will be up for auction soon...
I spoke with the fellow who drove my NM TT up to L.A. Here's how the Lemon Law repurchase process works:
1. Audi (actually VW of America) repurchases the vehicle. It is stipulated on the paperwork that it is a manufacturers buyback persuant to the Lemon Law.
2. The car goes to VW/Audi training in Forest Hills(?) CA, where techs go through it to ensure that all problems are repaired (yeah, sure they're fixed).
3. The TT is sold at auction. Audi must disclose that it was repurchased due to defects, and a certification of Lemon repair, or something like that, must accompany the vehicle, and be presented to the new buyer.
If you see my NM TT on the auction block (#46 of 100), my advice: Don't bid on it!<p><img src="http://home.san.rr.com/winefinds/1.jpg" border="0">

I bought a new one (225q roadster). No, it hasn't ruined it, but the experience was frustrating.

I wonder if they also Mk II it while they have it. If not, one could buy it for parts :)
