Default APR 91 losing boost >4800rpm 180qt

I just installed my boost gauge and i'm playing around with the boost machine. I peak about 16psi right now, and i'll tune the boost machine more once I put more miles on. But is it normal for a 2000 180qt to drop boost to about 12psi after ~4800rpm? It's a fun and quick car for city driving but when I want to shift to 6000rpm....it takes for ever.

Other mods are modshack intake, forge 007 dv and blueflame exhaust. I have the **** and 4 bar fpr but I took it out because it just wasn't running right.

Default You oughta be able to get a little more out of it..>>

ie: 18psi or so. Boost normally tapers as RPM's rise so that's not surprising. A large drop could be because the MAF isn't up to snuff, which could also relate to the **** not working right. What didn't work? Symptoms? there are lots of these working great on APR 180's...

Default You need a SAMCO turbo inlet pipe. Really helps the 180 pull to redline, was like night and day on

my buddies 180.
