Default APR chip secret?........

when I was visiting the performance shop one of the sales guys told me that in the morning before i drive to work i should do the following.....
1. go out to the car and turn the key in the ignition, but dont start the car.
2. let it sit for about 15 minutes (drink my coffee, etc.)
3. go back out to the car and start it.
4. a magical increase in hp will be noticeable....

huh?.....im not sure what he was talking about. he did mention something about the turbo getting reset by the ecu or something to that effect. do any of you know what all of this means and if it is actually true.

Default It's not turbo related though. Its an autocalibration routine that attempts to >>>

align the throttle valve's "actual" position with the gas pedal's "indicated" position. Its a drive by wire thing. It can be initiated via VAG-COM or by doing just what he told you. It doesnt take 15mins, but that doesnt hurt and that WOULD give you time for the coffee.

Default It won't make a big difference......But..>

an ECU reset might. To do this you need to power down the ECU....Either disconnect the battery for a few minutes, or pull the ECU plugs..
