APR or Forge exhaust

Re: APR or Forge exhaust
I have an APR, but I should think any of them are quite good. Horsepower gains are difficult to calculate as they depend on other mods such as: chip, hi-flow cats, FMIC, etc. All of them work as a balanced system. Quoted figures for exhaust gains are usually in the order of 10 to 15HP. APR exhausts are a pain to fit though.

Both are high quality systems.....>>
The APR is louder from reviews published here. The forge is quieter and a bit more refined. No cabin drone or noise at all. I've documented performance increases over my old style non-resonated Milltek with the Forge. Probably both will gain you the same in performance increases...Boils down to what you are looking for...

Forge is closer to stock sound than APR.
The new APR with the resonator isn't quite as loud as the original but it is louder than the Forge.
I've had the APR for about 2 weeks now. Cabin noise while cruising under 80 is about the same as stock. It does have a meaner sound than the APR. Butt dyno gives two thumbs up.

AGH! If you want oval tips on the APR then you should trim the rear valence accordingly!
If i got an APR exhaust I would have to steal a set of tips from the Remus muffler and swap those on.

Why? I think they look pretty good in there.
Granted I need to move mine up about 1/4" but once I do that there should be a fairly even gap all the way around them. The valence cut outs match up pretty well with the APR tips. The Remus are just too damn big.
