You blame the DB kit being troublesome:
What about these issues with APR Stage 3 on the 180 (these being just a few):
Exhaust manifold bolts breaking.
Coolant lines to the turbo melting.
Overall I believe APR makes a great product.. I know, I invested my $$ in their kit but most of your 225 guys are flinging poo at Peter for being skeptical.
And Peter valid claim: APR release a ~350ish WHP for a haldex disabled FWD dyno (which was a really impressive number, btw), but most of you are thinking in the ~350ish WHP for AWD. If so, your haldex system must be the first 0 loss AWD system! Want to sell it to me?

but that isn't the point. After seeing the NUMEROUS modified 1.8T's on Vortex and their setups and dyno figures - and talking to a variety of tuners, APR based or otherwise, it is easy for me to believe that this kit puts down 350whp and has room for more.

but on FWD cars. (Wolk's car to name one)
I'm just a little skeptical (like peter) that it was 350whp on an AWD dyno.

are needed to support the higher airflow, higher boost, and altered exhaust and intake air flow paths. Is that right? (And the associated programming to take advantage of the rest of the pieces, of course).

"easy for me to believe that this kit puts down 350whp" is your speculation. While it may be true and close to the truth it is NOT the number advertised by APR. I think you are doing a disservice to the group (and APR) by building up that expectaion. All anybody sees is the "350" and that's the number in their head, whether real or not. You and I know how innacurate dynos (and dynbo number interpretations) can be. I am sure APR used the most accurate method they could to determine CRANK HORSEPOWER which is all that ever should be advertised. Accurate mean't disconnecting the Haldex as the losses are more easily determined in FWD only mode. Facts are facts as accurately as they can be determined given the technology at hand. Speculation is just that.

without a baseline stock dyno. All dyno's read differently, and all dyno operators and conditions are not created equal.
