Arrrggghhh!!! Lost screwdriver in bad (unextractable?) place!
So I was fiddling with my recent phone install (just doing some cable cleanup / re-routing for appearance) and managed to drop a small (1/8") flathead screwdriver into the track for the passengers seat.
Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until I was putting the tools away. By that time, I had already slid the seat all the way forward and back a few times.
The end result is that I now have a 1/8" flathead screwdriver firmly jammed into the part of the seat track which moves with the seat so deeply that I cannot reach it with a needlenose pliers to get it out.
I don't want to leave it there, for fear that it might interfere with the seat locking mechanism.
1) Any ideas on how to remove it without removing the seat?
2) If I have to remove the seat to get it out, do I need to do anything special to protect the side airbag which is embedded in the seat (bentley manual seems to indicate so)?
3) Should I just go the dealer and get him to extract it?)

Take the seat out . . . just don't unplug the wires . . .
You'll need an 8mm Allen ratchet for the 4 bolts that hold on the seat. Obvioulsy you won't be taking the seat all the way out of the car, just tip it over so you can get to the screwdriver.
