A good friend bought an immaculate 1980 911 last eve. We were coming back from lunch, three cars, me in front in Silver/black TT, Blue M3 trailing, black 911 back a little ways.
Up the hill, around the turn, BLAM! K-band blip on the Cobra. I dropped left behind a dump truck (read: huge signal reflector). M3 with a V1 detector caught the trooper early. Later in the afternoon, buddy with the Porsche comes up to me, says he got busted.
Moral: Drive on roads with lots of dump truck to hide behind!

In a line of single lane traffic I was the last car... all traveling at the same speed. Cop came from the opposite direction and nailed me. Seems that the first car would have been a better radar target. Nailed for 51 in a 35 zone which is 4 points on your license in NJ. I went to court and got it reduced to 2 points without much trouble. This car definitely attracts cops...
