I spoke to Pat (800-822-2834 option 3) about when ESP will be available for the 2001 TTs and she said "All 2001 TT models will have ESP regardless of build date." She checked with her manager on this info before passing it on. I guess I feel a little better hearing this, however time will tell. I'll believe it when my car comes in and I can verify for myself that ESP is on there. Hope this info helps.

I just tried the same exercise. After going to her supervisor the rep reported that it only applies to 2001 models and the models coming off the line now are 2000s ... (my dealer had told me that the models off the line now are 2001s ...)
confused .. I guess we won't know until they hit the shores.

There are some very nice people who are Audi Customer Advocates. But for the most part, they know much less than we do here on the TT Forum. It sounds unthinkable, but I believe that it's absolutely true.
So, if you like hanging on hold and then receiving inaccurate information, call them. I believe that the info that you are getting here is much more reliable.
Once again, the memo than I posted states in black and white that ALL Coupes and ALL Roadsters will get ESP beginning production week 18. That sounds very plain to me, and this memo was issued recently by Audi Planning.
So everyone can clog up Audi's phone lines if they want to, but you will waste your time and theirs and probably get bad info. My suggestion is to assume that TTs built before week 18 will not have ESP. I doubt that we will know for sure until they get here in early May. If yours arrives and it has it, great. If it doesn't, reject it and go for a TT with a later build date.
