Audi Navigation System Question

I just purchased a 225 TTC last week that was equipped with the Nav system. I have noticed that the few times that I have tried to use it, the thing seems to think that I am "off roading" a lot and that I am a lot closer to cross streets than I actually am. The error seems to be at at least 1000 ft and as much as 1/4 mile. Is this something that has happened to others and is there a way to calibrate the system?

I've noticed this too. Just yesterday, I cam to a stop sign and only had the option to turn left or right. The Nav system still had me .1 miles from the next turn and didn't give me a direction. I find myself making 50/50 guesses and then finding out I was right, or being told "make a u-turn when possible".

Maybe the accuracy is dependent on the area ? I live in Southern California and I am amazed at how good it is. The system seems to be accurate to have a city block minimum.<p><a href="mailto:emorawski@email.com"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/EdTT1.jpg" border="0" alt="180Q APR Chip"></a>
