Default there's only one way to correctly wire..>>

the manual says to install in the glovebox but I'm sure that they would ask you where you prefer to have the ipod.. there are many different options, my choice was in the center console for the reasons I described

Guessing they would charge you an hour of labor +part but make sure to ask first

good luck, it's great to have HU control of the ipod and the sound quality is great!

Default playlists..>>

I tried various combinations of playlists
It only reads lists the first 5 listed and they are accessed with CDC1-5.

CDC6 is the full song list

so far it has never crashed.. tried it with mini, 2G, 3G ipods... works like a charm

only thing missing is ipod functions (ie, selecting songs, etc from ipod) which I really don't miss

Default Darn it!

I don't want it in the glove box either. In fact, I was planning on handing them a print out of you write up and tricking them into thinking it's supposed to end up the same place you have it. I guess that's out of the question since the darn instructions specifically say the glove box. Thanks for the info and the write up.

Default actually..>>

I don't see a problem ... they should be able to put it where you want it.. not really any more difficult than the glovebox install

besides: it's your $

however, if you like DIY stuff it's not a bad project to tackle yourself

cheers,

Default I'm the first to say I suck at mods though.

Default Other Cable?

So that other cable which you did not use that has sockets at both end.. is that for Symphony? What radio is that for?

Default probably..>>

pretty much says:
"if you have type A use this"
"if you have type B use the other"
and shows a schematic of the back of A and B

easy to figure out since my ConcertII din't have that type of socket

keep in mind this is designed to work on most audis, not just TTs

I was a little disappointed that it wasn't an easy plug'n play but really it wasn't hard to put in

YMMV

I've broken the green wire when I push it out...did you cut all the wires or they are in original?
