Audi TT #1 in braking test...quote, "impeccable." Know that some of you don't like the brakes at

Read just about every review of teh TT in a comparison to another car. The testers always had to allow the TT brakes to cool off!
This test is a bunch of bull. The Boxster has 4 piston calipers at all 4 corners! It has FAR superior brakes to the TT!
Who the hell conducted this test? Stopping from 40mph? That is "normal" street driving! I never compalined about that. I complained when I was driving the car hard.
Just about everyone that has been on the track with this car has lost their brakes to some degree, something that I have not heard from too many other car owners!
My stock brakes were perfectly ok, they just sucked! I had them checked out at 2 different Audi dealerships and also an independant mechanic. The brakes were just fine, they were just a **** poor design for this car at speeds above 75mph, and on twisty mountain drives where lots of braking is required!

as GB? Betcha not!?
I felt fade with the stock pads. However, three times now I have heard that brake fade is brake fluid boiling. Confirm or Deny?
Also, the TT comes with DOT 4 rated brake fluid. I learned this when I went to buy some spare fluid for my first track event. DOT 4 is high temp rated stuff.

Congrats to the TT!
But permit me to express to following:
Stopping from 40mph is no way to evaluate a brake systems capabilities as this process (stopping from 40mph) requires little energy transfer and is mostly about reaction time. Slowing from 70mph to 55mph (when you see a Kojak with a Kodak) requires more from your brakes.
A much better test (at Watkins Glen) is to slow from 120mph to 70mph (at the bus stop) then from 95mph to 60mph (downhill in the chute) and then from 95mph to 60mph (again down hill in the toe of the boot) all within maybe 30 seconds. BTW, this equates to stopping from 40mph roughly 13 times! Now that's testing a brake system!
