Default Not Audi, but a friend of mine

claims Dodge keeps calling him in an effort to negotiate a lower buy out for his Durango. They rather he buy the car than they take posession of it after the lease because the resale has fallen drastically on the Durango. I know the resale on our TT's are horrible so maybe Audi may be willing to negotiate rather than take a car back into inventory that they will probably lose money on.

Default Re: with the auto market down as it is, anyone gotten any good deals lately on buying out their leas

One year ago this past July I bought a 2000 FWD coupe with 21k on it , great condition as far as I know..all the added extras,Xenon,Bose,17" wheels etc. were there , even a spoiler...no mods. I had an Acura CL '99 with 36k and 2 years remaining on lease....If dealers want to sell a car they will do what they have to...this non-Audi dealer paid off my residual...$15,000 and sold me the TT for $26k nothing down....payments are $423 a month for 6 years. I don't know if I got a great deal (probably not) but I think I got the car I wanted. I would never have been able to be driving a TT unless I took this deal because NOBODY would buy my ACURA for more than $10 k or so....So here I stand with my TT and a bunch of payments but at least I can afford it...All other deals I could not because I couldn't get rid of my Acura...so I would have to wait 2 more years...I'm too old and too impatient...LIFE IS SHORT...DO IT IF IT FEELS GOOD! Hey, I can trade up to another easier now too...but after the horror stories I think I'll keep it till it's paid off...by that time I'll probably be too old to get in to another small car anyway !But if I can, I will, screw those old guys in Corvettes...Not MY image!
