IMO - no sedan in that price range can match it's performance, and actually no cars in it's price range period can match it's performance.

That being said - consider the fact that it does 0-60 pretty quick - but it's 0-100 and 50-70 and other in gear 3,4 and 5 are pretty poor for a car with it's 0-60 time. It runs the 1/4 in something like 14.7 seconds. Why?

Gearing! In order to compensate for the low final drive ratio - it's 4th and 5th gear are quite high. In any event - i'd wait for the STI which will come as a 2003 model. It will have an honest 280hp + and features a much more robust engine block and internals, not to mention a 6 speed gearbox with beefy internals and better ratios for in-gear acceleration.

Excellent choice for rallying..plenty of parts...mods..etc. and you start with a potent setup.
