Default you are better off using something other than AW. They have a size limit and quantity limit

got to Fotki.com That is the place most of us are now using. it is free and does not seem to have a limit .. . yet! I am already well over 100mb in photos on it with over 1,000 pictures already.

Default Larry's right. Of all the uploaders, Fotki has one of the best

If you pay the $30/year, you have unlimited storage on their site. Very nice touch. And people can order 4x6 prints for $0.19 each if they are a paying member.

If you do NOT pay for the annual membership you will be limited in storage (I'm pretty sure) and the large originals will NOT be stored indefinately.

Default I thought they had a 100mb limit . . .

at least that is what the site says. I decided to see where I was with that limit . . . I am well over 130mb! lol Still not a paying customer as of yet. Will be shortly I believe.

Default That's cool that they didn't program the 100meg in

I got the feeling that they were going to leave large images up for awhile and then only keep the middle size (not the thumbnail, bigger than that) in the long term. With that in mind, it would make the 100meg limit harder to manage from an algorithm. When you upload an image, it will start out as a 1meg file. Then they will create a 50k version. If you upload 200meg of photos, that's only 200 images. Then they create another version of each...that's another 10meg. So, you'll hit the 100meg limit for a month or so until the large files are deleted...then you are well inside your limits.

My stats so far...
Public folder: 7 folders
24 albums
839 photos
Private folder: 0 folders
0 albums
0 photos.
