Back from London!
Well, we're back from London and Paris. We had a great time. Thanks to those offering suggestions of things to do, places to eat, etc. We had a great time.
We saw two plays, one great and one awful. "A Russian In the Woods" was the wonderful one. It blew our minds. We enjoyed the walking tour at night of all the "Jack the Ripper" sites.
The two best places at which we ate were "Petrus" (very upscale French in London) and "Two Brothers." (English, Just north of London) The latter was the best fish'n chips ever, although not inexpensive.
On the way home we were re-routed through St. Louis instead of Dallas/Ft. Worth. Thus we got home only 50 minutes later to Portland and each of us received a $1,000 travel voucher on Americann airlines. Thus we are already planning our next trip to South America as we speak. We're going to fly into Buenos Aires 12-22, cruise around the cape, making many stops along the way, and fly out of Santiago, Chile. This will take two weeks at Christmas time. We're hoping for another bump at that time. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky again.
It's good to be back and read all your posts. Congratulations to Denny on her new wheels. I can't wait to see some pictures.
