Default Back to my mass air advice.

So now that I plugged the new mass air meter in. I have thrown another code. The code reader says P1127...manufacturer controlled fuel and air metering....does anyone know what this means??

Default Is response to Steves question I have cleaned my VTDA recently...and....

the car is running terribly...after I clear the code the car revs up to about 2500 rpms....at that point in time the car stutters terribly bucking and snorting and will not rev past 3000 rpms....once the cel goes on the car runs great and smooth yet it has no boost....its as slow as a three cylinder geo metro...hahah.....i have been checking every where to find a boost leak and cannot find one anywhere. I do not have a VAG but I do have a code reader and I clear the code with the code reader instead of unplugging the battery. I am so lost please help me

Alec

Default once again. DISCONNECT the MAF! You will get a CEL, but the car has default programming>>>

see if it runs better, if it does not then there is another problem...if it does, then more than likely you have faulty part....

Default That Doesn't sound like a MAF..........

Plugs or coilpaks are a potential issue. Fuel filter?

Did this start right after cleaning the VTDA? (too much oil?)

Have you unplugged it yet?

Default 17535 P1127 Long Term Fuel Trim mult.,Bank1 System too Rich...

you are getting more fuel than needed or less air than expected ( more likely), or the First 02 sensor ( pre cat) is not reading correctly.
I think you have a boost/vacuum leak somewhere.

Default To be clear just in case you are misunderstanding. Unplug the MAF >>

and leave it unplugged while you go for a drive. The problem will be better or the same.

Default Ok so I disconnected the MAF and drove the car and....

the car ran amazing.....so much more power and ran extremely smooth. So I guess one of my problems is the mass air meter right.
