Backfire and cold start issues...
Well I am out of ideas...so I must turn to the AW board.
1.The girl is having a hard time warming up in the a.m (even when the temp is 90deg)The idle is bouncing all over the place. I have dared to drive it before a 5min warm up and it bucks like a wild horse!
2.She is backfiring and popping between shifts(cold and warmed up).
-I've changed the plugs and tried different gaps/New MAF (readings are good at redline)/smoke tested for vacuum leak/had a professional injector & engine clean done
My only guess at this point would be o2 sensors
Any Ideas???...And no, I'm not going to "sell" her :-)
TIA

Keep us informed! I'm having similar issues...
Car never starts on first fire- resets my front dash frequently (time/date.) When it does start on first try, it dies immediately afterwards. I've changed plugs, MAF, and temp sensor- to no avail!

if its not the CTS check ur plugs....... my apr 3+ is uber unhappy in the cold
here in CO i have to use stock plugs to get teh car warmed up and then change them out once its up to temp just to drive it in the winter!..... if im just moving the car i leave the stock plugs in and its fine. i went thru 7sets of plugs in diffrent ehat ranges and brands last year and never found a set that worked for me in teh winter. my car isnt realy drove much so i just called it even and put the car coverback on it last winter. granted my TT is built up a lot more than most so its a bit extra touchy.

15.2v, is good. Try and test it while someone starts the car
Batteries can have a good voltage but then drop off drastically when loaded. Auto parts places can usually test your battery or lend you a load tester.
