Got a flat tire today on I-95. The vibration coming from the rear of the car was slight but became more pronounced as I drove on. I drove the car to the nearest exit, which just so happened to be where I was going anyway. I have a whopping 600 miles on this new set of tires and rims. Lucky me, I was only a couple of miles from home and put the spare on in a couple of minutes. I have KUMO tires (cheap but good).
The tire and rim were very hot, almost too hot to touch. It took less that 15minutes to change the tire. At home I put on my factory 17". So it looks kind of stupid with one different rim. But here in St. Augustine it's difficult to find a decent tire repair shop at 4:00pm on a sat. Its been my misfortune in the past to trust a perfect set of rims to a man named Bubba wearing a grease stained shop shirt and chewing tobacco like a horse. Not a good outcome that time. We'll find out tomorrow what happens.

Question: Has anyone sent his or her factory Aluminum Alloy rims to be fixed. IE dent, chips, and scratches......<p>TTKEN ;{

My local tire shop dinged up my rims putting new tires on, and I plan on making them refinish at least one, depending on how that one turns out. I'll let you know...
