Bay Area TTers: Has anyone ever been to New Dimensions in Santa Clara? How are they and
would you recommend them? I used to go to Terry Griffin, but New Dimensions is much closer and more convenient for me. Thinking about getting an APR chip there and have them do the install as well. Also, as my car is out of warranty, I'm planning on having them do all service maintenance as well. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

They did an alignment for me
Great guys, I would recommend them. I might suggest doing the chip install yourself, as it isn't terribly difficult and you could save yourself the $$$ to spend on other mods.
I've also dealt with TG, and like him alot as well. ND is a good choice, particularly since they are closer.

come up to Tomas sometime and I'll do the install for you =)
for free. takes 5 minutes. you'll owe me a beer though, hehe.
Tim (Tomas) can do your alignment, althou i can't quote a price for him.
san pablo (www.tomassporttuning.com) might be closer than ND down in santa clara.
actually, i have a 2000 APR chip with chip/stock/100oct for a quattro ('S' chip) if you are interested.

$89 for the chip install. They say it's how much they charge for 1 hour labor. You say
it can be done in 5 minutes??? He told me it is about an hour or so to install it. If you can do it in 5 minutes, then I'll buy you more than just one beer! BTW- I work near Stanford in Palo Alto. A small company called HP, have you heard of it?

actually, i know why they might charge $90.
they are taking into account the fact that they have to split open your ECU and swap the EPROM out. taking an ECU out and putting another one back in takes 5 minutes.
if you were planning on getting a spare ECU, then it takes 5 minutes. if you were planning to get your current ECU chipped, then yah, it could take a bit longer. however, watching the APR guys do it in their trailer at TTW, it definitely didnt take an hour...
anyway, the APR chip i have is sitting on my desk. you are more than welcome to try it out!

I believe so (unless I got a 93oct program a year early!)
$600 sound fair? the extra ECU was $500 by itself.
and of course, you can try it out before you decide whether or not you want it.
