Default Been decided - VR6 TT special edition (think of ALMS TT II) for the US this Summer...

... Ingolstadt and AoA are still working out Coupe or Roadster (or both), colors and total number. Regardless of bodystyle or color, 6-speeds only (whew!), 18" RS4/ALMS style wheels and, sorry Raffi, the model will apparently be badged outside. (Seems something was learned from the ALMS adventure)

Along with which specific colors will be offered, the brain trust in Auburn Hills is looking at leather or leather/Alcantara. Like the ALMS cars, there will be a choice of colors inside and and out, but you won't be able to mix and match the combos.

FYI, the TT-6 is scheduled to break cover officially at the Geneva show this spring. However, the "Limited Edition TT" may be shown at the Detroit show in January (as was the ALMS an the last Detroit show) but with no mention of engine.

Looks like the V-Dub guys on the west sie of the Atlantic Pond will get to queue up for R32 Golfs sometime next year as well.

Default As long as i can bolt on a super charger or Hpa kit, great

any idea on output of the Vr6 engine? They would have to bump up the current output to make it interesting right?

Thanks for the headsup

Default Just sent your post to AofA...

we'll see if they even respond. I have an e-mail address to someone who will be able to confirm, deny, add details, etc. Doubt he will even respond though...

AofA always seems to have their heads in the sand! If this is true - I'll be buying one though. VenTTed will go to the wife.

Default That's nice but I'm slapping THREE extra cylanders into my engine....

next weekend to keep ahead of the AG (and AoA) guys. If all goes well, my X7 TT will debut at the Cherry Hill Baskin & Robbins next Sunday afternoon.

Default Details........

NA engine - 241hp - the rest of the details are probably being worked out like color, wheels etc. Most likely to be announced at NAIAS in January if they follow their normal procedure.....
