Default dealer will be expensive...

any muffler shop should be able to put a generic one in for cheap.

Default nothing really to it right?

I just have a good amount of smoke at times, and normally it just smells AWEFUL! Thought it might be the cats, figured it was a semi cheap test and fix, vs some of the other reasons for the smoke and smell.

Default yeah, shouldn't be a big deal...

does it smell like sulphur or rotten eggs? Thats what bad ones have smelled like in my experience. Anyway, they should be able to match a proper cell count cat up an weld it up to match the stock pipes. No reason to pay $800 for the stock or more for the "hig flow" miltek.

Default kinda what I figured, anyone know the cell count of the OEM's? Any advantage going to a lower cell?

Like if OEM is 800, and I go 400 instead of the 200 it seems like most high flow cats are made out of?

Default coolant does not seem to move, nor does my oil levels

Not sure what else it could be, I mean it is possible the car is running rich or something, but the exhaust smells pretty aweful sometimes! I do need to go and VAG the car, etc. The car seems to be running strong, and wihtout hickup... although I did notice a click/clunk feel on real bumpy roads, in the last 2 weeks. The smoke thing has been happening for like 2 years (since TT Midwest 2005)
