Default Which is better to use: OEM oil filter or Mobil 1 oil filter?
I use Mobil 1 synthetic for my DIY oil changes and I'm wondering which filter people prefer using in the cars.

Default IIRC, there are two different OEM part numbers for our oil filters...there was a revision
in the number. can't recall why. the one i have been using is:

06A 115 561 B

Something about sludge buildup in the long. mounted 1.8T.

Other number starts with 061 and it the larger of the two

Default historically, that problem was more related to intervals of oil changes>>
than anything else. That and the PCV valve problems....IIRC
