Default black puff of smoke?

on the way home from work, a Cooper S started playing games....so i rolled on the throttle and let loose. when i looked in the rear view, i was pulling away from the Cooper's headlights, when i saw a big black puff of smoke fly out of the rear! HAHA.

no more smoke, no problems, nothing....just a big black puff went POOF!

a sinister event, however i'd like to know if these is telling me about some sort of trouble? just had an oil change.

Default Re: sinister black smokescreen

Maybe extra oil, or perhaps your New York commute has left some deposits build up that just got blasted off. Probably good for the engine to burn those off once in a while, so let your car's sinister nature show through once in a while and keep that engine cleaned out. On the other hand, if it starts doing that more often, I'd have to send you to a specialist!
